Happy Chinese New Year!

This Saturday, February 13th is Chinese New Year's Eve.  Sunday is the beginning of the Spring Festival.  Hopefully "the year of the tiger" will be filled with good health and prosperity.  If anyone would like to share how they are going to celebrate the Chinese New Year and Spring Festival, please do so--and perhaps post a few pictures too.  Xīn Nián Kuài Lè!

snow???

any snow in Herndon? yes
what to do with it? shovel it!
back pain? yes!
cabin fever? slowly getting there!
any advice? go out as soon as the sun is out and the roads "roadable!"
hobbies? baking cookies, making waffles and pancakes and crepes....
the trick with eating too much?
1-eat the cookies
2-guilty feeling (lack of exercise....)
3-before the goodness of the cookies hit your hips, go out and shovel!!! :)

Snomaggedon or Snopocalypse?

GMU has been closed for days.  We haven't had class in two weeks!  I have been busy shoveling snow, clearing snow from trees and rooftops, and keeping the bird feeders topped off.  What have you been up to?  Share a few snow stories with your classmates here.  Nothing formal or required.  Just thought it would be fun to get back in touch before our class next week.  By the way... let's keep our fingers crossed that Monday's predicted snow is only a dusting!
